Exo Terra's Reptile Feature is the perfect oppprtunity to get up close with some weird and wonderful animals from around the world! Take a look below to see some of the species visiting us at the NEC this year! Visit me at the National Pet Show for more information before you add me to your family!

African Spurred Tortoise

Get to know me:

  • Make you’ve got plenty of space, I can grow to as much as 91cm in length and weigh over 90kg!
  • I am a fantastic escapologist, so make sure you keep me safe and secure if I am roaming outside.

Ball Python Morphs

Get to know me:

  • I am very low maintenance and easy to care, perfect for a busy owner.
  • Escaping is one of my talents, so make sure my tank is very secure!
  • I can be a picky eater, so make sure any treats or changes in my diet are only short term.

Bearded Dragon

Get to know me:

  • I like to live alone in plenty of space where I can explore and hide.
  • Please handle me gently! I prefer to live with older children as I hate having my tail pulled.
  • My typical demeanour is very laid-back, but I can be very inquisitive and curious!

Burmese Python

Get to know me:

  • Make sure we have time to play together so I don’t just associate you with food.
  • Be prepared to offer me a lot of space, I can grow over 600cm in length if cared for properly!
  • With proper handling I can become very tame, but remember I can become defensive around mealtimes.

Chameleons

Get to know me:

  • I am an independent soul who prefers to live alone, I like my own space.
  • Make sure my home is full stocked with trees and foliage as this is where I will spend all of my time.
  • I don’t really like cuddling, I am the perfect pet for observation with my gorgeous colour-changing skin!

Crested Geckos

Get to know me:

  • I can have trouble settling into a new home, so let me have my space for the first month!
  • Make sure I am kept with plenty of trees to climb, I like the views from up high!
  • The men of my species don’t get along, so be sure to keep them in groups of females.

Leopard Geckos

Get to know me:

  • I am best living alone, but can become a very friendly pet if handled regularly with care!
  • I am not very demanding, so creating the perfect home for me can be easy for first-time owners.
  • Remember to keep me nice and warm so I can stay happy and healthy, I don’t like the cold.

Spotted Turtles

Get to know me:

  • Handling me can stress me out, so please limit our interactions to around 20 minutes a week.
  • I can live with lots of other turtles, but I like to be the only male in a group of females.
  • Make sure my tank has a place for me to bask, whilst I am active, I relax out of water.

Leopard Tortoises

Get to know me:

  • I love making friends and can be kept with lots of roommates with no problems!
  • I do not hibernate but please be aware of the temperature as I need my temperature to be maintained.
  • Whilst I like my roommates, I can be shy around humans and will hide in my shell.
