As a school boy at the age of 13, Leigh Holmes had a passion for flying birds of prey after owning his first Barn Owl ‘Lucy’. Choosing to spend his time researching and training many different species of Bird of Prey, Leigh set up The Hawking Centre at the age of 19 in 1998. The Hawking Centre is based on the private estate of Doddington Place Gardens, Kent where they house over 60 incredible birds including Eagles, Vultures along with Owls, Hawks and Falcons. The centre runs luxury falconry experience days which have been voted number 2 out of 1436 attractions in Kent as the best place to visit by Lonely Planet and Trip Advisor. Leighs passion for conservation can be seen in his SuperTheatre talks on the different needs of the species in the wild and how we can help, he will also be appearing in the Animal Talks Theatre and Kids Zone.Go back to previous page
