As a general rule, we do not allow the general public to bring their dogs to the show.
However we make an exception for entrants to the Scruffts competition. As these people have a dog with them, they are only permitted in the Dog zone so unfortunately, unlike visitors who are attending without a dog, are unable to enjoy the whole show. Scruffts is open to any member of the public with a cross breed, is bookable in advance only, and there are limited places. If you would like to enter, please click here.
Animal welfare and responsible pet ownership are of uttermost importance to the organiser. We have a vet at the show at all times who checks many of the animals coming into the show as well as an animal welfare officer.
Yes, of course you can touch the animals! However, please ask permission before you or your children touch animals, and do not touch any animals without the permission of their handler.
You can choose to print out your own ticket or have a ticket sent to you in the post. If you request an e-ticket please print and bring along your ticket with you for entrance. If you choose to get your ticket mailed to you, they should arrive one month before the show, depending on when the order is placed.
Although we have a large selection of many different types of animals at the show, they are not available to buy.
We do however have lots of breeders, rescue centres and vets who can help you and provide information so you can make an informed choice when buying a pet.
No there are no age restrictions. We welcome everyone, young and old, to the show!
For the Noel Fitzpatrick Live and SuperDogs Live performances in the SuperTheatre you will need to book a ticket in advance when you book your tickets, all other talks are not ticketed.
Please note - Noel Fitzpatrick Live performances are an add-on of £5 per seat.
Following the high demand to see Noel Fitzpatrick Live at the National Pet Show in November, we invested in a larger SuperTheatre with more seats for 2017. We have listened to customer feedback and now visitors are able to pre-book a place for the Noel Fitzpatrick Live show. Subsquently, we have had to introduce a nominal fee per seat allowing us to deliver an improved show, and overall better visitor experience.
Please note - Pre-booked seats are not allocated, and therefore will be given in a first-come, first-served basis.
We're sure you will understand that we wish to protect the intergrity of the event and its exhibitors. If you are going to take pictures or film you need to follow some common sense rules. In essence you are free to record your own visit for your own personal home use. You will not be able to sell any photos or moving images of the event for commercial or other gain. Please respect the privacy of other attendees who may not want to be filmed. Please do not bring any professional equipment with you and please be aware of health and safety issues.
