The Small Furries Zone is sponsored by Burgess Pet Care – a leading UK pet food manufacturer catering for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, gerbils, rats, ferrets, dogs and cats. The health and happiness of animals is the number one goal for Burgess and their expert knowledge in animal nutrition help them to achieve this.
The Burgess Pet Care stand will display a range of products, and customers will have the chance to buy their small animal treats, nuggets and hay from just £1. You can also pick up a £2 off voucher with every purchase!
The Runaround Secret Rabbit Garden returns to the Burgess Small Furries zone once again this year, bigger and better than ever. This 'little haven of paradise for rabbits' features everything rabbits naturally enjoy including a mound with tunnels and entrances and exits for running in and out of, as well as hollow logs with peep holes. The aim of the feature, designed and built by rabbit run specialist Runaround, is to inspire rabbit owners and potential new owners alike about the type of enrichment rabbits love and which will help give them a happy and healthy life. Visit feature stand F16 to see these happy hoppers, which are at the show courtesy of GBH Rescue. Our thanks also go to Manor Pet Housing for supplying the delightful house featured in the garden too.
Also in the Burgess Small Furries Zone, stand F20, the team at Burgess Pet Care will teach you how to make your own foraging ball stuffed with a range of Burgess healthy tasty snacks and feeding hay that your rabbit, guinea pig or chinchilla will love – a great present to take home to your furry friends!
Saturday: 10am – 1.45pm; 3.30pm – 5.00pm
Sunday: 10am – 10.45am; 12.30pm – 5.00pm
Talks on how to look after each type of small furry pet are taking place in the Small Furries Theatre on both days. Our experts will answer questions on everything from the kind of house your small furry friend needs to be happy to how to feed a healthy diet.
The show is a unique opportunity to get up close with rats on the Cosy Beds & Burrows stand F34, hamsters on the Southern Hamster Club stand (F32), and feel the softest fur in the world with CHINformative's chinchillas (stand F22).
The Yorkshire Vet’s Julian Norton will be appearing on the Burgess Willow Ball Making stand (F20) to talk about ‘feeding hay’ and signing copies of his book.
Saturday: 2pm – 3pm
Sunday: 11am – 12pm
Julian is the face of RAW 2017, highlighting the important differences between bedding hay and nutritious feeding hay.
“I’d like to convert everyone at the show to giving feeding hay a go!” said Julian.
